A year ago MOOC’s (Massive Open Online Courses) were virtually unknown. Now they are taking higher education by storm and disrupting the traditional campus model. Internet-based courses offered by elite universities through Coursera, or through a consortium let by Harvard and MIT called edE are reaching tens of thousands of learners around the world. What is the role of Mobile Learning in the adoption of MOOC’s? Professors will want to reach students on the devices they are actually using. In particular, tablets are well-suited for accessing MOOC’s. Our partner, Smart Learning Apps has developed a native Moodle App for Android Tablets. Initiated by Samsung Thailand, the project will bring Native Moodle to Android 7″ and 10″ Tablets, the iPad and the iPad mini.
